Teams For First Shield Game
(New Zealand Press Association/ NEW PLYMOUTH, July 3. The Taranaki Rugby team to play Golden Bay-Motueka next Wednesday in its first defence of the Ranfurly Shield, will be: J. Bayly: E Keith, T. O’Sullivan, L. Penn; J. McCullough, W. Cameron; R. Urbahn; P. S. Burke. B O’Neill. W. Orr. J Mackie, R. Carroll, I Flavell. R Boon, I. McDonald. There is some doubt whether Urbahn, who was injured during the team’s South Island tour, will be able to play, md he may be replaced by K. Hurley, who has not before represented the province. The Golden Bay-Motueka team is; G. Thorne; G. McDonald, D. Sturgeon, W. Kotua. R. G. Bowers. J Fry; E. Coleman; G. Durrant. R. Walker. I. Sparrow. R. Wratt, K Goodall, G. Rangi. M. Thomson, J Curnow.
