CLAIM AGAINST BANK
Decision Reserved In Auckland Case (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 3. Decision was reserved by Mr Justice Shorland in the Auckland Supreme Court today in the claim by Mrs Pauline Pearl Baker, director and business manager of the Baker Cardboard Box Co., Ltd., for damages of £lOOO from the Australia and New Zealand Bank for allegedly dishonouring three cheques. Mrs Baker, through her counsel Mr J. Sheffield, asserted that by its action the bank had damaged her credit reputation and she further alleged it constituted a breach of contract.
