WOMAN’S BODY FOUND

Manslaughter Charge Laid (New Zealand Press Association) ' AUCKLAND, June 22. The body of a woman was found lying face downward on the footpath in Beresford street, Auckland, late on Saturday night. The police later arrested a man and charged him with manslaughter. The body was identified as that of Mrs Thelma Rita Tweeddale, aged ,about 50, of Troonville avenue, Sandringham. She was dressed in men’s clothing and had been badly bruised about the face. The man changed is Richard Bernard Vincent, aged 37, a gas worker. He will appear in the Auckland Magistrate’s "Court tomorrow morning.
