Two Men Struggle Ashore (New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 22. After breakers had wrecked their 14-foot boat off Paritutu Beach, New Plymouth, this afternoon, two men managed to struggle ashore. Huge breakers battered Joseph Baranyai, aged 21. and Louis Ku thy, aged 34, as they struggled 300 yards to the shore. Both are Hungarians. Mr Kuthy said to-night: “I have been through war and revolution, but never so near to death.’’ He said they lived only because they were strong swimmers.
