AUSTRALIAN TEST TEAM
Seven Changes
Made
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, June 22.
The Australian Rugby selectors provided sensations today when they announced the second test team to play the New Zealand Maoris at Sydney on June 28. The selectors dropped the Australian R. Davidson, who led Australia to victory in the first test. Only seven of the winning first test team have been retained for the second test.
The Queensland lock K. Ryan was not available but the others have been dropped. Ryan suffered a fractured wrist and nose in training in Brisbane last week and this could put him out of the New Zealand tour. The Australian team is:—Fullback. T. Curley (N.S.W.); threequarters, K. McDonald (Queensland), P. James (Queensland). A. Morton (N.S.W.); second fiveeighths. S. White (N.S.W.); halves, A. Summons (N.S.W.), D. Connor, captain (Queensland); back row, J. Carroll (N.S.W.); middle row, J. Pashley (N.S.W.), A. Miller (N.S.W.), K. Emanuel (N.S.W.); front row, K. Larkin (Queensland), R. Meadows (N.S.W.). G. Vaughan, vice-cap-tain (Victoria).
