POWER POSITION IN NORTH
Daily Quotas May Be Imposed (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 29. Those power supply authorities which failed to keep within their weekly quota this week, would be on a daily quota next week, the General Manager of ‘the State Hydro-electric Department (Mr A. E. Davenport) said today. It would be to the consumers’ great advantage if the authorities managed to keep within their quotas, he said. The level of Lake Taupo was steady, and that of Waikarembana up one point on last Monday, but the generation figure was much the same.
