the wish of the Queen, who often visited Eton and has many old Etonians among her friends, may well prevail. The ‘‘Daily Express” says Mr St Aubyn himself is an old Etonian who went back as master soon after the war to take over a house.
For the last two terms —or halves as they are called at Eton—he had been looking after the house of another housemaster, who had new returned. Last night at his home in the London suburb of Holland Park. Mi St. Aubyn would make no comment on Prince Charles’s inclusion in his house list. The ‘‘Daily Express” says the normal procedure for parents wanting their son to go to Eton is to put his name down on f he general list—or. if they personally know a future housemaster, a house list —at birth. Mr St. Aubyn was for a short time tutor to the Duke of Kent. Prince Charles met Mr St. Aubyn at Balmoral in 1956.
