Physicists’ Letter To Minister (Rec. 7 p.m.) THE HAGUE. April 27. Seven Dutch physicists have said that a small dose of nuclear radiation might be sufficient to destroy the subtle balance between the various living organisms. The physicists, all of whom are university professors, stated their views in a letter to the Minister of Defence (Mr C. Staf) published in the Rotterdam newspaper, “Nieuwz Rotterdamse Courant." They said Holland’s present civil defence organisation would be “completely ineffective" against a modem H-bomb.

The letter said that if atomic missiles were installed in Holland the country would be among the first goals of an enemy’s H-bombs. “Nearly the complete population of Holland would be victims ip the event of a war in that case,” the physicists added-
