Iraq Refuses To Contribute CAIRO, April 27. Iraq announced tonight that she would no longer pay her share of the Arab League Budget. The Iraq Ambassador, Mr Ibrahim Khodeir, made the announcement after a meeting of the Arab League tonight. “Iraq will not pay its share of the budget of the Arab League this year, or in the years to come, owing to its indebtedness as a result of damage to the oil pipeline during the tripartite aggression in Egypt," he said. The Iraq Petroleum Company’s pipelines through Syria to the Mediterranean were sabotaged, and three pumping stations blown up. during the Suez crisis. The flow of oil from Iraq of some 26 million tons a year, was interrupted. It began again on March 11. 1957. but is not yet fully restored.
