APPROACH TO KRUPPS
Invitation From Moscow
HANOVER, April 27. The Soviet First Deputy Premier, Mr Anastas Mikoyan, today invited representatives of the famous Krupps engineering firm to visit Moscow to discuss possible business contracts. Mr Mikoyan, who came to West Germany to sign commercial and consular agreements, cut short a tour of the Hanover Industries Fair for a conference with Krupps officials, which lasted an hour. The Soviet leader, regarded as Russia’s leading trade expert, today also visited Druisburg in the Ruhr, accompanied by the West German Economics Minister. Professor Ludwig Erhard. The two men are believed to have discussed political topics, mainly German reunification. At a reception tonight in Hanover, Mr Mikoyan said his meeting with West German leaders had proved that West Germany wanted peace. “The peoples must now be educated to mutual understanding,” he said. “There must be an end to hostile propaganda.”
