Bowls EASTER FOURS DELAYED
Play To Start Today No play was possible yesterday in the Christchurch Bowling Centre’s Easter fours tournament Most of the eight greens which were to have’ been used were waterlogged by the heavy rain of the previous night. Play today will be the same as set down for yesterday, but instead of three rounds four will be played, and the time limit has been reduced to an hour and three-quarters. On Monday the fifth and sixth rounds will be played on greens set down for the second day’s play. The seventh and eighth rounds have now been eliminated. After the sixth round has concluded on Monday two rounds of post-section play will be decided on the Shirley green in the afternoon. All fours with five or six wins will take part in the post section games, which will be on the sudden death principle. MANNING CUP After many holdups through wet weather the Manning Cup for inter-club competition has now been decided. Elmwood, which had previously won the Three Fours competition, has how completed the double by taking the Manning Cup.
