Three Way Argument On H-Bomb
LONDON, April 2. The British philosopher, Bertrand Russell, leader of a widespread campaign against the Hbomb, today ended a verbal duel with Mr Khrushchev of Russia and Mr Dulles of America by calling them “rival fanatics.” He was writing to 4he weekly political review “New Statesmen” which in recent months has published the wordy exchange of correspondence among the philosopher, the Russian leader, and the United States Secretary of State. Lord Russell started the correspondence with an epeu letter to the weekly calling on President Eisenhower and Mr Khrushchev to forget their points of difference and remember their points of agreement. He summed up today by declaring that both Mr Dulles (who replied for President Eisenhower) and Mr Khrushchev were "rival fanatics, each blinded to obvious facts by mental blinkers.”
