Dunedin And Timaru Win At NZ. Pipe Band Contes

DUNEDIN, March 23. Scoring heavily in drill points, the Dunedin Highland Pipe Band won the national A grade championship for the third time in six years during the week-end. Another Dunedin band, Burns Highland, was second. In the selection on Friday night, Dunedin was only fourth, but took the honours with wins in the inspection and quickstep. The Timaru Highland Pipe'Band, rupner-up in the B -grade last year, this time had a decisive win. This combination will be promoted to the A grade as a result of winning by 20 points.
