BEER FOR SPORTS CLUB
No Restrictions On Brewery Supplies (Front Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, March 23. Suggestions that because of a brewery ruling sports clubs would be unable to draw bulk supplies of beer front the breweries after October 1, but would have to purchase them from the hotels at retail prices, are discounted by Mr B. T. O’Connell, general manager of New Zealand Breweries. “There is no foundation for any rumour that our service will be discontinued,” he said. “I understand certain hotels are planning to offer increased facilities in this respect. As far as we are concerned, however, clubs will still be able to get their supplies as before.”
