Lower grade results on Saturday were as follows: SECOND GRADE A Marist 240 (Stevenson 83, Gibson 60; Ryder four for 86) met Boys’ High School 156 for five (Hadlee 51. Hopkins 49). Lancaster Park 169 (Kennedy 84; Small four for 37) met High School Old Boys 235 for eight (Dyer 63. Marks 49). Sydenham 96 (Park five for 32) met West-University 208 (Stewart 59) SECOND GRADE B Old Collegians 148 met Technical Old Boys 30 for one. SECOND GRADE C Papanui High School 211 (McLauchlan five for 42) met St. Albans. St. Andrew’s 226 (Murtagh 79) met Christ’s College 18 for one. St. Bede’s A 269 for six declared (Hyndman 115 not out, Jefferson 69; Patrick four for 42) met West-Uni-versity 32 for six. PRESIDENT’S GRADE Sydenham 108 for four, beat Lancaster Park A 107, on the first innings. Lancaster Park B 251 for nine de dared (Barnes 84 not out, Sloan 47; , Moo ar five for 51) beat Old Collegians 84 (Dennis nine for 19), on the first innings. West-University A 91 for five (Palmer 45) beat Riccarton 77 (Palmer four for 16), on the first innings. High School Old Boys 160 for nine declared (Christmas 55 not out) beat Technical Old Boys 138 (Hart 45; Christmas four for 23, Escott five for 31), on the first innings. THIRD GRADE A East Christchurch 55 (Imrie seven for 28) and 70 for four met Old Collegians 174 for eight declared (Middleton 86). 7 „ Sydenham, no score stated (Besley 50; Hastie seven for 77) met Riccarton 159 for six (Albertson 61, Corner 57). Technical Old Boys 121 (Almond 40) met West-University A 192 for five. • THIRD GRADE B Old Collegians 162, drew with Sydenham 120 for nine (Wreaks five for 25). West-University 90 for five teclared (Condliffe 41 not out) and 43 for three beat Marist 87 (Struthers five for 20) and 42 (Struthers four for 3) by seven wickets. St. Albans-Teachers’ College 75 for none declared and 83 for two, beat Lancaster Park 67 (Mitchell five for 16) and 85 (Mitchell six for 39) by eight wickets. THIRD GRADE C Linwood High School 63 (Dickens six for 26) met Boys’ High School B 52 for eight (Hanna four for 24). St. Bede’s 209 (Mannix 60. Dyer| 43; Burtt five for 44) met Boys’ High School A 34 for four. St. Andrew’s 77 (Aker four for 16) and 2 for none met Technical College 118 (Halliday four for 26). FOURTH GRADE A West-University 119 for seven (Cherry 75 not out; Lloyd four for 42) beat Lancaster Park B 93 (Hickey 43; Lys four for 22) on the first innOld Boys 144 (Milligan 64; Flicnoe four for 43) beat St. Albans 127. on the first innings.

Pakistan Tour.—The Pakistan touring cricket team scored 45 for no wickets on the opening day of play against British Guiana East Indians yesterday before rain spoiled play. The game will end today. Only 45 minutes batting was possible. -Hew Amsterdam (British Guiana) March 22.
