MOIR’S 12 WICKETS FOR 22 RUNS
Senior Matches At Dunedin
(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, March 23.
The outstanding feature of the first day’s play in the final series of matches in the Dunedin senior competition yesterday was the sensational bowling of the New Zealand leg-spinner A. M. Moir. Playing for Grange against North-East Valley, Moir captured six wickets for only 7 runs in Valley’s first innings and then went on to take a further six for 15 in the second to give him a match analysis of 12 for 22. As the result of overnight rain, wickets for all matches were inclined to be soft on top and scores, generally, were low.
