Ban On Nuclear Material Urged

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) STOCKHOLM, March 20. The Foreign Ministers of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland yesterday urged that negotiations be started for an agreement to ban production of nuclear material for military purposes and to reduce conventional armed forces. The Foreign Ministers, meeting in Stockholm for their routine half-yearly meeting, decided that the “no-passport” union betw<en the four countries, on which they agreed last year, should come into force on May 1. From then passports will only be required on entry to or departure from the Scandinavian area as a whole.
