District Land Registrar. 8779 PUBLIC NOTICE THE SPRINGS - ELLESMERE ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD NO. 13 RETICULATION LOAN 1958 (to be raised by Special Order). PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the SpringsEllesmere Electric-Power Board held on the 10th day of March, 1958, the following resolution was passed by way of Special Order. AND THAT such resolution will be confirmed at a meeting of the said Board to be held at the offices of the Board at Hornby on Monday, the 14th day of April, at 9.30 o’clock in the forenoon:—

IN PURSUANCE and exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 34 of “The Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956” and by Section 45 of “The Electric-Power Boards Act, 1925’’ and with the sanction of the Local Government Loans Board, THE SPRINGS - ELLESMERE ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD (hereinafter called “the Board’’) HEREBY RESOLVES BY WAY OF SPECIAL ORDER as follows:

(a) For the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s district, the Board hereby resolves to borrow in New Zealand, the sum of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS (£100,000) such loan to be known as “No 13 Reticulation Loan, 1958.” (b) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be ten years.

(c) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding Five Pounds per centum per annum. . (d) The Board will, before raising the said loan or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a Sinking Fund, and shall make annual payments to such Sinking Fund at a rate of not less than three pounds eight shillings and eleven pence (£3 8s lid) per cent, per annum on the amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid. (e) The payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand. (f) No amount payable as either interest or Sinking Fund in respect of the said Loan shall be paid out of loan money. (g) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed onehalf per cent, of any amount raised.

(h) Payment of interest and Sinking Fund instalments in respect of the said loan shall bp secured by a Special Rate annually recurring of seven-twentieths (7/20) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-Power district.

Pursuant to subsection (2) of Section 34 of “The Local Authorities Loans Act 1956” NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a poll of the ratepayers of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-Power District is required to be taken if five per cent, of the said rate-payers so demand, by writing under their hands delivered or

sent by post to the Board and received at the office of the Board not later than the day before the date fixed for confirmation of the resolution to raise the said Loan.
