Lawn Tennis PROVINCIAL MATCH

Game With South Canterbury The Canterbury lawn tennis representative programme this season has had more than its fair share of misfortune. In the first fixture on November 23, Canterbury comfortably beat ,West Coast by 23 matches to 1. But the second fixture, against Wellington, at Wilding Park, on February 15 was stopped early by rain, 'and the third, aganst Otago, on March 1, was cancelled a we&k before. On Sunday. .at Wilding Park, Canterbury will play the fourth of its anual fixtures—against South Canterbury. This match has always been keenly fought, although Canterbury usually win. In the 1953-54 season at Wilding Park, Canterbury won by 18 matches to 6; at Timaru the next season. Canterbury won. 20-3: in the 1955-56 season at Wilding Park.
