Special Flight Cancelled
Only eight passengers were booked on Tasman Empire Airways Ltd’s special flight from Christchurch to Melbourne on Sunday, March 9, the Christchurch manager (Mr F. G. Hill) said yesterday. The flight, scheduled to meet an apparently heavy demand, has been cancelled and the passengers will be accommodated on services between . Christchurch and Sydney within 24 hours of their original departure time. T.E.A.L. will fly them from Sydney to Melbourne free and will meet any additional hotel expenses. The special flight scheduled for March 23 stilL. stands and bookings are being accepted.
