CHURCH CHOIR TO SING ON SHIP

Departure Of U.S.S.

Glacier

The choir of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Montreal street, will sing at a service aboard the U.S.S. Glacier at Lyttelton , tomorrow morning. The choir has been invited to join his service by Lieutenant A. Saeger, U.S.N., who will sail aboard the icebreaker tomorrow evening for Little America, where he will spend the winter. At the invitation of the Rev. G. A Doecke, minister of St Paul’s. Lieutenant Saeger conducted a service there last Sunday and a Lenten service during the week. Tomorrow’s service for the ship’s company will be held aboard the flight deck of the icebreaker. The Glacier is to sail at 8 p.m. tomorrow.

In Wellington today the U.S.S. Atka will come out of dry dock. From Dunedin the U.S.S. Brough will sail for the United States after five months on picket duty as a weather ship south of ‘Campbell Island.
