VISIT TO AMURI SHOW

Helicopters From Icebreaker

Visitors to the Amuri Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s show at Rotherham today will have .the opportunity of inspecting and seeing in action two helicopters from the United States icebreaker Glacier, now at Lyttelton.

The helicopters, which have taken an extensive part in the United States operations in the Antarctic this summer, left on a tra.ning flight yesterday and landed at Waiau last evening. After visiting the show, probably about 10 a.m., they will complete their schduled flight, returning to the Glacier about 4 p.m. Aerial activity will also be seen in the Cheviot district today, when five topdressing aircraft, as well as a Bell helicopter, will be engaged in topdressing and spraying contracts within a radius of less than four miles from the Cheviot township.
