COMMONWEALTH TRADE
Ministerial Post Not Favoured (N.Z Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, February 28. The Prime Minister, Mr Macmillan, yesterday refused to appoint a Minister to plan expansion and integration of Commonwealth trade. A Labour member, Mr Frank Beswick, had urgetßin the House of Cpmmons that such a Minister should do for the Commonwealth what the Paymaster-General was doing for European trade. Mr Macmillan said trade expansion with both Commonwealth and Europe was the responsibility of the President of the Board of Trade.
