Princess Margaret Sees Huge Epstein Sculpture

(Rec. 9 p.m.) CARDIFF, Feb. 26. Princess Margaret, during a visit to Cardiff today, made a surprise visit to see Epstein’s giant statue, “Christ in Majesty” at Llandaff Cathedral. The Princess yesterday had her last sitting with Sir Jacob Epstein for a bust commissioned by the University College of Staffordshire. * The Epstein statue which the Princess sav F today, is a 16ft unpolished aluminium cast. It was dedicated last April. In London, Sir Jacob Epstein said that Princess Margaret’s visit to Llandaff Cathedral was not made at his suggestion, the “Daily Mail” reported. The sculptor added: “My bust of the Princess is one of the most pleasing commissions of my life. She is an extremely interesting character. “She is also an extremely intriguing young woman.
