CHOLMONDELEY HOME

Maintenance Work In Building

Mrs R. L. Jacobsen presided at a recent meeting of the Cholmondeley Home committee. As there has been a large amount of maintenance work carried out, the home has been closed for admissions for one month. There has been more work than was at first anticipated, and the workmen will not be finished in time to reopen on March 4 as originally arranged. The home will reopen on March 11 for admissions.

Renovations have been made to the staff rooms, and the toilet and ablutions block for both girls and boys have been modernised. Many of the rooms have been painted, and cupboards have been installed in the dispensary, bringing it up to the standard required by the Health Department. Mrs Jacobsen has shown slides and given two talks to groups interested in the work of Cholmondeley Home. The bottling of fruit, and jam making are being done for use during the winter months.
