D. N. Hadfield was fined £.lO for engaging to ride two horses in the President’s Handicap.
Joydy threw up her head in the preliminary for the President’s Handicap, and injured her rider. R. J. Pledger, who was sent to hospital suffering from abrasions to the face and concussion.
Joydy was withdrawn from the race, and investments were refunded.
