Learners Pool At West Lyttelton School

A display of water games by children of primer 4 and standard 1 and swimming by older pupils was given at the opening' of the learners’ pool at the West Lyttelton School on Saturday afternoon. There was a large attendance with the Mayor of Lyttelton (Mr F. G. Briggs) and Mrs Briggs, Mr N. E. Kirk, M.P., and Messrs S. J. Irwin and S. G. Farquhar representing the Canterbury Education Board. The visitors were welcomed by Mr I. Wales, chairman of the school committee.
