CHOLMONDELEY HOME

Mrs R. L. Jacobsen presided at a recent meeting of the Cholmondeley Memorial Children’s Home Committee, which was the first for 1958. The committee expressed appreciation for the gifts and monetary help given during the Christmas period.

The home was full over the holiday period, and the children had a wonderful time. Cakes, sweets, clothing, toys, oranges and other fruit, vegetables, bedsocks, were some of the things which have been given to the home, it was reported. Mr P. Dunmill, who has been sole teacher at Cholmondeley Home School for four years, has left to take up a position at Bank’s Avenue School.
