Christchurch Has Most In N.Z.

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 22.

Christchurch City had the highest number (752) of motor ■accidents causing death or injury in any local body area during 1956. says a statement on motor accidents in New Zealand issued by the Transport Department.

Next highest was Auckland City (600), Wellington City (468), and Dunedin City (241). Auckland was the only main city to show a drop (28) from the previous year. Increases for other main Centres were Wellington 5n Christchurch 29, and -Dunedin 26.
