EXPORT MEAT SCHEDULES
Prices for ewes in the latest export meat schedule range from 7£d per lb to 3£d per lb, not 6|d to 2£d, as stated yesterday. This schedule came into force yesterday. The allowances for wool in the schedule for shorn lambs are increments. not deductions. The schedule prices for shorn lambs include a £lb wool allowance and are subject to the following increments: 4d a head for each jib up to lib pull; 4|d a head for each |lb from lslb to l£lb pull; and 5d a head for each jib from Iglb to 21b pull. Mining (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, January 19. Following were the returns from dredges operated by Gold Mines of New Zealand, Ltd., for the halfmonth ended January 15:— Arahura.—l2o ounces of bullion from 129.000 yards of material, excavated in 221 hours. Kaniere.—4Bl ounces of bullion from 120.000 yards of material, excavated in 214 hours.
