Dr. C. P. McMeekan, superintendent of the Ruakura animal research station, has been awarded an Underwood Fellowship, and will make a three-month visit to Britain and the United States. He will leave New Zealand by air next month, and in Britain will give lectures in Cambridge and Edinburgh. Major Wesley Simpson, who has been in command of,the Citadel Corps of the Salvation Army for the last three years, will leave tomorrow to take up a new apoointment at Auckland as Salvation Army youth director for the northern division of the North Island. He took up his duties in Christchurch in January, 1955. He is the son of Major Robert Simpson and Mrs Major Simpson and he was educated at Wellington College, Christchur-'i Boys’ High School and Rangiora High School.
