Police Sergeant Injured
(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, January 10.
A police sergeant, George Douglas Beardsley, is in the Dunedin Public Hospital with a gunshot wound in his hand received in an accident last week-end. It is understood that Sergeant Beardsley, who is stationed at the Dunedin Central Police Station, was examining a revolver when it accidentally discharged The injuries were not serious and Sergeant Beardsley is expected to be discharged from hospital shortly.
