BANK MANAGER APPOINTED
Mr J. C. Macvean
Mr J. C. Macvean, who has been appointed district manager at the chief manager’s office of the Australia and New Zealand Bank, Ltd., arrived in Wellington yesterday. Mr Macvean was formerly deputy-manager of the London office of the bank.
Since joining the bank, Mr Macvean has spent some time in the administrative office of the Union Bank in Wellington. He has travelled widely in the bank’s service overseas, and in 1954 attended the administrative staff college at Henley-on-Thames, England. In 1957 he was a delegate to the world congress of the Institute of Scientific Management in Paris.
Mr Macvean will succeed Mr R. V. Alexander, who has been appointed manager at a Sydney branch of the bank.
