Escape From Child

Welfare Home

Three youths escaped from the children's Welfare Home at Otekaike, South Canterbury, on Sunday night. They are believed to have been in Christchurch yesterday.

A truck stolen from Kurow, eight miles from the home, on Sunday night, was located by the Christchurch police in Riccarton road yesterday.

A pre-war cream light English car was stolen from Moorhouse avenue between 12.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. yesterday. Police patrols are on the lookout for the missing vehicle.

The three youths are 15 years old. One is five foot six inches and of good build. Tjte two others are five foot and one has dark features and black hair, and the other has a fair freckled complexion.
