DELIVERY FLIGHT OF VISCOUNT

(Special Correspondent N.Z.P.AJ LONDON, Dec. 25. Captain H. C. Walker, operations manager of the New Zealand National Airways Corporation, hopes to' take off in the Vickers Viscount City of Wellington at 8 a.m. GM.T. on New Year’s Day from London Airport on the delivery flight to Christchurch.

He and Captains J. H. Register and G. Harvey have completed their flying training of some 20 hours.

In addition to making flights from the Vickers Armstrong airfield at Wisley, Surrey, to Land's End and back and to Liverpool and back, they have made a number of practice landings with one or two engines cut out. “We like her very much Indeed,” Captain Walker said. "She is up to all our expectations. “No modern aircraft is easy to fly with its complicated flying panel, but she handles nicely.”
