KAURI UMBER LOSS

I (Aew Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 3. A consolidated net loss of £15,516 was incurred by the Kauri Timber Company, Ltd., Melbourne, in the year ended August 31, according to a preliminary announcement cabled to the Auckland office of the company today. The Joss compares with a consolidated net profit last year of £323,211, after deduction of outside shareholders* interests of £64,902. The amount deducted this year is not stated in the preliminary announcement. The latest result was reached after tax provision of £199.C44 (a decrease of £150.945 from 1956) and depreciation of £321.979 (an increase of £80,726). Ordinary dividend has been maintained at 8 per cent., but last year’s bonus of 2 per cent, has been omitted. 'rhe final ordinary dividend of 5 per cent, is payable on December 23, and shares will be marked ex dividend on December 16.
