MINOR FIRES

A fire in a washhouse at 356 Greers road at 9.15 a.m. yesterday was attended by one unit from rhe Cranford street Fire Station. There was little structural dami age but the interior was scorched. [The property is occupied bv Mr E. G. Cath. | Petrol vapour from an open container was ignited by a nearby kerosene heater in a contractors shed on the roadside in Somerfield street at 10.3 a.m. One unit from Sydenham and one from Central attended the fire which did little damage to the shed. A scrub fire at 31 Burwood road on a section owned by Mr George Beckworth was attended by one unit from New Brighton and one from Cranford street.
