BREVET CLUB PLANS STRIKING BUILDINGS.—This model shows the Brevet Club Memorial Centre, planned for a site on the corner of Memorial avenue and Wooldridges road made available by the Waimairi County Council. The “warped skin roof” will give the floor-to-ceiling windows a height of 21ft at the corner on the left, 14ft at the rear, and 4ft at the side where the buttress is shown. The memorial sculpture of an airman, set in a pool reflecting the building and the statue, is not to scale in this picture. The project will cost £10,000.
