Y.W.C.A. BOARD MEETING
Clubs Report Qiy Activities J"-
Most of the clubs operated by the Young Women’s Christian Association had finished activities for the year, it was reported at the monthly meeting of the Y.W.C.A. board of directors. The ballet class will break up on Saturday and the schoolgirls’ club will end on Friday Both clubs will mark the even with parties. The drama club was preparing short Nativity scenes for the Christmas party to be held next week, it was reported. At Iho party gifts would be brought for the children and adults at the Templeton Farm.
Miss Rosemary Barlee will be welcomed back to Christchurch Lt the Christmas party. She has been in Melbourne attending a Y.W.C.A. training course and will arrive by air in Christchurch on Friday. On the same aircraft will be Mrs Wordley, sub-matron of the Latimer Hostel, who has been on leave in Melbourne for the last two months.
Two girls from the Crippled Children Association and one each from the Anglican. Presbyterian. and Methodist homes have been invited to attend the summer camps to be held at Spencerville from December 30 to January 8 and from January 15 to January 24. Miss E. Cook reported that there were still a lew vacancies for children in both camps.
Miss I. T. Woolf, a vice-presi-dent, presided in the absence of the president (Miss C. Robinson). Members of the staff joined the board at afternoon tea because it was the last meeting of the year.
