WAGE CLAIM REJECTED

Transport Union Consideration

(Rec. 8 p.m.l LONDON. Nov. 25. London Transport today rejected a Transport and General Workers’ Union claim for a 25s a-week pay rise for 53,000 London bus workers.

A union spokesman said that the executive believed the claim was not justified at the present time. "There is no way in which we can get them to negotiate on any figure at the present juncture.” he said. The decision will be discussed by the union’s executive and a special delegate conference ol* London busmen next month. The National Association of Local Government Officers has ordered its 200 branches to organise mass demonstrations to underline its potest against the Health Minister's veto of a 3 per cent, pay rise for National Health Service workers.
