Australian Envoy

MELBOURNE. Nov. 15 Cabinet members expect the Minister for Supply, Mr H. Beale, to be nominated to the Government of the United States as successor io Sir Percy Spender as Australian Ambassador to Washington in a few days, the “Herald” Canberra correspondent reported today. Conferences between senior Ministers late last night are believed to have reached agreement that, subject to American agreement, the appointment should be offered to Mr Beale. Mr Beale said today that so far he had not been invited to accept the post.
