Luxury for Cows.—Accommodation for an East German cow can cost twice as much as for a hospital patient, according to a Communist Party newspaper which criticised planning mistakes. The Gera newspaper •‘Volkswacht’’ quoted an example of a cowshed for 60 animals which cost about £41.000. A hospital for as many patients would cost half as much, it said.—Berlin.
