WARNING ON MEAT PRICES
(New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON N., Nov. 13. The price of lambs today was “terriffic” and the British public was not going to buy at the present price indefinitely, said Mr A. Baker, a member of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, yesterday. Mr Baker was speaking at a function held at the Longburn freezing works in connexion with the on-hooks judging of entries from the Manawatu Show. “Don't be carried away with the present prices.” said Mr Baker. “There is a great possibility of our having to face a true realisation schedule in the near future.”
