COMMERCIAL Brewery Shares Active

Brewery shares were active on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday when 1000 shares changed hands. Two parcels of Bailins Breweries were sold at 34s 9d, the lower of the two prices paid on Wednesday. Three parcels of N.Z. Breweries sold at the steady price of 49s (id, with one pgreel selling 3d lower. Sellers of Dominion Breweries asked 98s (id, 6d below last week’s price.

National Mortgage A. and N.Z. Insurance also sold al lower prices. Cox Brothers was the only issue which sold yesterday at a higher price than in previous Christchurch business.
