Fancy Bantams And Ducks

There was a good entry in the fancy bantam classes, and the Black Pekin fowls found strong competition. For the time of the year the Pekins were outstanding, said Mr T. Findlay (Methven), judge of the classes. A white Pekin, exhibited by Mrs H. N. May, drew particular praise from Mr Findlay, as did a black rosecomb, entered by D. and G. Tippins.

"I feci youngsters entering fowls in a show such as this should realise that Silkies should not be entered in tile bantam section," said Mr Findlay, commenting on several exhibits of Silkies, which are actually fowls and not bantams. “I could not consider them in my judging because they are not included in the class."
