The male Australorp class, with 13 entries, was of the highest standard, said the judge. Mr L. C. Burt, of Riccarton. Mr Burt said he had not seen a better bird than the champion utility heavy breed fowl entered by Mr McKie. "All of the birds in the class were of an exceptionally high standard, and it was very difficult to choose between them," he said. Mr Burt, said he was also impressed with the standard of entries in the barred Plymouth Rock classes.
