FIRM MARKET AT SYDNEY

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, November 13

There was strong support from Japan and the Continent, supported by Britain, at the Sydney wool sales today. Of the 18.694 bales offered, 18,496 were sold. The market ruled fully firm on yesterday’s levels for all descriptions of fleece and skirtings. Comebacks and crossbreds were also quoted fully firm. The fairly representative selec-

tion covered a wide range of types, mainly average to best spinners and good topmakers. Clips generally were of average length and style, good quality, and carried dust and fault to varying degrees. An attractive display of comebacks and crossbreds was offered. Crossbred prices included: 58’s, good, 83jd per lb; 56’b, good, 81d.
