“Breaking” Of Soviet Code Denied
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, November 6. The United States Air Force tonight contradicted a claim by one of its major test bases that coded signals of the second Soviet sputnik had been "broken.” “No code had been identified or broken, and no positive conclusions reached in a comparison of Russian telemetry with our own,” the statement said.
