FIVE CONVERTED MOTOR-CYCLES
Information Sought By Police
Detectives in Christchurch are seeking information which may lead to the finding of five motorcycles which have been stolen from Christchurch in the last two months. The motor-cycles have been listed as converted for this period, and no trace of them has been found. It is thought that the machines may have been stripped down. Anyone who has been approached and asked to buy parts which could belong to the motor-cycles should tell the police immediately. The number of converted motorcycles has been high during the last six months, and many of the conversions have been carried out during the day while the owners of the machines have only been a short distance away. The motor-cycles at present missing are:— A Triumph Tiger 100 with blue tank and guards; registered number 15-273. Another machine of the same make, also painted blue; registered number 46-942. A 1956 Ducatti power-cycle, painted black, with the right pedal old and rusted; registered number 47-004. A 1952 Royal Enfield, a 125 c.c. model; registered number 6512 L. An Excelsior, black with silver forks, registered number 50-276.
