(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 22.
Five truckloads of bales, packing cases and large boxes marked Pusan. Hong Kong, Athens, Beirut, Calcutta, 'Karachi. Bombay, London, Tokyo, and other far away places were taken to the Auckland wharves today to be loaded into ships for overseas. More than £55.000 worth of clothing was on the trucks, and represented the results ol the recent C.0.R.5.0. clothes drive. There were 124 bales of clothing, worth about £450 each, and dozens of large boxes full of shoes. The Eastern Star will sail from Auckland on Thursday to the eastern ports. The clothing bound for European ports will be sent on a number of ships and freight will be paid by the New Zealand Conference Lines.
